black friday

So, Brent and I did the Black Friday thing. We didn't get up crazy early and head out to shop at 5, but we did spend the day running from store to store.

We first went by Barnes and Nobles for a cup of joe... or one of their Holiday specials, rather. Then, since it was next door, to my mall so Brent could get a PS3. After that was picked up, we headed to Perimeter Mall to the Apple Store for iPod Touches (and then Lunch). We both got one! Oh, poor bank account... Oh happy fun shiny toy! I will say, they made the buying experience GREAT! The people were awesome, friendly, and helpful. They offered suggestions, chatted with us, and helped us put on the screen protectors so we didn't have to fail at it. Also, they checked us out right there... no going and waiting in line at the back of the store.

Upon trying to take a photo of us to document the shopping spree... I realized I could NOT figure out how to set my camera to timer. Sad, huh? Especially since it was SO easy on the D40!... so that's on my list of Look-This-Up-and-Feel-Really-Stupids. Anyway, so it was the classic turn-your-camera-around-and-SHOOT!

After spending who knows how long sitting on a fountain and fiddling with the cam, all the other photos consisted only of Brent.

We stopped at Best Buy and got cases for our iPods, and Brent picked up a Blu Ray movie– Dark City, one of his past favorites.

Another stop at a Barnes and Nobles, hoping to get our iPods up and running. Failed.

We went home and made it work before going to a Chinese Buffet near my place (we had a coupon so we decided to check it out). Brent had crab legs for the first time :} Those are so messy.

And... after that, we ended the night with more Barnes and Nobles and iPod fun!

Happy Black Friday... belated.

Like the blog Tammy. And lol at the camera struggles, I'll be sure to make you feel much less stupid I'm sure. I like the pic of Brent by the WiFi sign. Love the morning glory. Looking forward to reading more!
